Project Description:

This project aims to detect hate speech from social media data. If possible, various bias types are distinguished (anti-Latinx, anti-Asian, anti-LGBTQ+, antisemitic, …), and spatiotemporal patterns of hate speech occurrence (and co-occurrence) are explored.

  • Data collection

Minimum qualifications:

  • Proficiency with GIS
  • Spatial data
  • Advanced Python/R programming

Term of the Project:

  • 1 year

Deliverables:

  • A set of visualizations (maps, charts) showcasing key insights.
  • A comprehensive report detailing findings, interpretations, and recommendations.
  • Documentation of the workflow, methodology, and tools used for reproducibility.
  • Presentation of key findings and insights to the research team and stakeholders.
