Project Description:
This project aims to detect hate speech from social media data. If possible, various bias types are distinguished (anti-Latinx, anti-Asian, anti-LGBTQ+, antisemitic, …), and spatiotemporal patterns of hate speech occurrence (and co-occurrence) are explored.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Data collection
- Data wrangling
- Data analysis
- Data visualization.
Minimum qualifications:
- Proficiency with GIS
- Spatial data
- Advanced Python/R programming

Deliverables:
- A set of visualizations (maps, charts) showcasing key insights.
- A comprehensive report detailing findings, interpretations, and recommendations.
- Documentation of the workflow, methodology, and tools used for reproducibility.
- Presentation of key findings and insights to the research team and stakeholders.
