Project Description:
This project focuses on developing and applying methods to detect hate speech in social media data. Such methods could involve developing corpora of hate terms or fine-tuning large language models.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Collect geotagged social media posts
- Create lists of hate-terms for different minority groups
- Create training data for supervised classification
- Process and classify large amounts of documents
Minimum qualifications:
- R/Python programming
- GIS
- Literature search
