SUMMARY:The Workbench for Spatial Data Science
DESCRIPTION:
Speaker: Yu Hanchen, Postdoctoral Fellow, Center for Geographical Analysis, Harvard University
Moderator: Guan Weihe, Executive Director, Center for Geographical Analysis, Harvard University

This webinar will introduce the spatial data science workbench based on KNIME workflow software. The workbench integrates data visualization, exploratory data analysis, exploratory spatial data analysis, and a variety of spatial econometric models, providing a repeatable, reproducible, and scalable combined data analysis platform, suitable for those without professional training in spatial analysis. Man performs spatial data analysis. The workbench is easy to learn and use, and can complete multiple spatial data analysis tasks at one time, improving the efficiency of data analysis and scientific research.

This talk will also describe how to join the team that is currently working on the Spatial Data Science Workbench project.

Introduction of the speaker: Yu Hanchen, Ph.D. in Regional Economics, School of Government, Peking University, post-doctoral fellow, School of Geography and Planning, Arizona State University, now engaged in post-doctoral research at the Center for Geographical Analysis, Harvard University, with research directions of spatial data analysis and spatial econometrics, Presented statistical inference for multi-scale geographically weighted regression, and is one of the lead authors of the geographically weighted regression analysis software MGWR 1.0, as well as Spatial Econometrics (Second Edition), Spatial Econometric Analysis Software: GeoDa, GeoDaSpace, and PySAL Operations One of the main authors of "Handbook", published more than 20 papers in "Geographical Analysis", "International Journal of Geographical Information Science" and other journals, and won the Wiley top downloaded paper 2018-2019 paper award.
