24013 The Geography of the Opioid Epidemic

Project Description:

This project will produce an exploratory analysis of spatial data related to the opioid epidemic in the United States. The goal is to establish a basis for subsequent research that aims to disentangle the drivers of opioid-related mortality and to inform policymakers with actionable insights.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Data collection. Data wrangling. Data analysis. Data visualization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience with GIS, spatial data
  • Advanced Python/R programming
