Hosted by the Center for Geographic Analysis at Harvard and co-sponsored by the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, and others, this conference aims to foster a dialogue between diverse digital twin perspectives, and bring together experts from industry, government, and academia, as well as geographers, designers, and others. Topics may include geospatial and physics-based modeling, augmented reality, big data processing, high-performance computing, scripting and workflows, replicability, explainability, interoperability, ethical standards, among others.

The conference will be in a hybrid format. The event will start with a half-day pre-conference workshop Thursday morning, followed by a day and a half of plenary sessions on Thursday afternoon and Friday, which will include keynote addresses, presentation sessions, panel discussions, and lightning talks. Saturday will continue the conference virtually. On Thursday and Friday, speaker and audience engagement will be in person, while the Zoom audience will be able to view, but not participate in the discussions.

The topics include, but not limited to:

- Digital twins for geoscience
- Data management in digital twins
- Advances in digital twins technology
- Replicability, uncertainty and in digital twins
- Interoperability and scalability in digital twins
- Ethical issues in digital twins
- Digital twin applications
- Digital twins in education

The conference is accepting [abstract submissions](https://forms.gle/eFHpFJfBPRv82XVX6) for oral or poster presentations (less than 500 words) before Feb 28, 2025. Detailed agenda and lodging information will be sent to accepted presenters later. Participants are responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
